Alan Dunn puzzles celebrate the sharp wit and elegant linework of one of The New Yorker’s most prolific cartoonists. Born in Belmar, New Jersey in 1900, Dunn studied at Columbia University and the National Academy of Design before embarking on a decades-long career in illustration. Over the years, The New Yorker published 1,926 of his drawings and nine covers—a testament to both his versatility and visual storytelling. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and now resides in the permanent collections of the Library of Congress and several major museums.
