Congratulations!
Congratulations on your wonderful design! This one has been giving me a fit for the last few months. So deceptively simple, but so unpredictable. Only you could create such a fabulous design.

Nasty but Magic Dragon!
Stormy adventures with Champ. I was able to put the puzzle together the correct way, and found two pieces that could be interchanged but that was about it. In late summer, I meticulously examined all the pieces separately to find as many matching pairs as possible. I then had seven puzzle sections that could be combined in eight different ways. Yikes! Three of these ways didn't use all of the sections, so they didn't count, but the other five all formed legitimate dragons. However, none of the five yielded a dragon eating his own tail. I shelved Champ for another couple months. Then this past week I tried again. I decided to try all five combinations again. At any rate, I've certainly enjoyed my hours with this nasty but magic dragon!

All is fair in love, war and Stave puzzles
Creating a serpent was no problem ( I created several). Getting him to bite his tale was another story, but after more than a few aspirin, I got very scientific about it. You might call it cheating but I say "all is fair in love, war and Stave puzzles!"

Great Fun!
I just love Champ. I pull him out every couple of weeks, I'll bet, and work him again.

Demonic
Thanks for all your unending supply of demonic tricks. Your parents should be proud... (I think!)

Piece of Cake?
I received Champ as a Christmas gift from my mother in law and went right into the fun. I initially thought, "this is going to be a piece of cake... it's just a jigsaw puzzle".

Throwing a Fit but Still Love It
I love Stave Puzzles! The ones that work two ways give me a fit and sometimes a defeat, but I still love them!

Challenging
Am tempted to stuff his silly tail in his mouth and call him done!
