Moonbows, also known as “lunar rainbows” are rainbows which appear in the mist created by the waterfalls of Yosemite Valley. They are very rare—the mist and moonlight have to be just right for the phenomenon to occur—but visitors have the best chance of witnessing a moonbow in the late spring and early summer.
