Steve’s new web game: Match The Piece

Matchthepiece_2

During the past couple of months I have learned how to design
a simple web game. Finally I have created a rough prototype and I’d love to get some feedback. If this game, Match The Piece, survives the testing phase then I will make it look pretty (with help) and post it on stave.com where I will add weekly challenges. In the meantime you can get to the game by going to www.stavepuzzlenuts.com and try it out. The game and link are shown in right-hand column of stavepuzzlenuts home page. To give me feedback you need to become a stavepuzzlenut member which is easy to do. Have FUN!!

This coming Thursday and Friday2804bees I will be in Burlington Vermont at a mail order conference where I will challenge the attendees with three puzzle games shown here. Which of the four pieces fits into the open space? I can see right now that the bee game may be too subtle.
What do you think… please post your comments (and guesses?) on stavepuzzlenuts.

Dummy Steve Snaps Snapper Snapping at Steve

Yes, Martha and I have been snorkeling around St. John for 25 years. No, I’ve never been ‘warned’ by a big fish to get out of their territory. So last week I was merrily snorkeling along (Martha was onshore) when I noticed this huge fish (3-4 feet long, 40-50 pounds) bugging a large turtle. So I turned on my underwater video system and started filming. The big fish soon turned his interest towards me, circled me (bottom photo) and approached me head-on and opened his mouth… no more than 3 feet away…. yikes. Dummied Me continued to film this ‘amazing’ scene when the Cubera Snapper took a dive at my ankles… I almost swallowed my snorkel as I kicked at the fish… which swam away, thankfully.Yesterday I showed the 2 minutes of video to a local expert and he was astonished at my stupidity…. why didn’t I back off immediately… this fish was obviously telling me to get lost… oops… live and learn!!
