Stave Christmas Party at Local Restaurant

Here we are, the 22 of us, in the private dining room of a local restaurant on Friday December 21 celebrating our successful year at Stave Puzzles… thank you CBS! Actually there should have been another Staver there but pregnant Meg was still pregnant two days after back labor had begun… ouch… and she couldn’t make it…. she was due December 19th.

We all take the week off between Christmas and New Years, starting 2008 on January 2nd…. at least most of us… Martha and I head off to St. John for 3 weeks. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The Day Before our Christmas Party

Here it is Thursday, December 20th, and it’s snowing outside…again! The snow is light and fluffy giving the snow-covered trees a magical look. Out our back window you can see the horses acting as snowplows as they hunt for more food. Also shown are the holiday-ish corner treatments we add to many holiday image puzzles. Tomorrow we go off to a nearby super restaurant for our Christmas party.. yum fun!!

Home Sweeeeeet Home!

That’s Cheryl Johnson, one of our new ‘shining star’ artist. She lives in Maine and drove 3 hours to deliver a new design and a ton of delicious treats. In her former life Cheryl was a cake decorator and she couldn’t resist doing some special treats for us…. yum-yum. And lots of our customers think her Gingerbread House design is yummy, also, based on how many have ordered it recently. THANK YOU Cheryl!!

Stave Puzzle on eBay at Record Price

What’s happening on eBay is truly amazing. There’s a Stave puzzle up there currently going for $3700. The customer bought it in 1994 for just under $2,000. It’s Pharaoh’s Curse and we only crafted 50 of them. It’s a beautiful design by Andrea and I never thought I’d see the day that one would appear on eBay. It will be many moons before another one surfaces so if you have and interest please check it out. Go to our Puzzlenut site (www.stavepuzzlenuts.com) and see some photos or click on that link in upper left of this page.. or go to eBay and type in Stave puzzles. This auction ends in 3 days. Keep an eye on the last minute action.
