Every year a few Stave clowns show up to work dressed for Halloween. It’s always a treat to see Ginny’s creative handmade custumes like the butterfly wings attached to her shirt. In Stave tradition the group gathered in our showroom to have their picture taken. Even though everyone in this photo has an extra set of eyes, they didn’t see this coming…..someone’s playing TRICKS. Look close to find a skull face in one of the costumes. Do you SEE it? Spooky………..
Introducing the Stave PuzzleNuts Community at www.stavepuzzlenuts.com
We have a good customer who is fluent in how to set up community web sites and she suggested that Stave Puzzles have one… a community web site…. and she offered to help us launch it, which we did this past Monday. As I type this we already have 72 members… in just 3 days… WOW! so it’s off to the races.
We are designing this Stave community on the fly so please be patient, particularly since we are starting this during our busiest time of year, the holiday season…. AND we still are in overdrive because of the tremendous response we’ve had from being featured on CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood April 1st.
We plan to add all sorts of bells and whistles as we go along. In fact, if you have any ideas please let us know because this is what it’s all about… sharing ideas within this wild and crazy puzzle community.
Sign Up and come along for the ride!
OK, OK, I confess. The reason you haven’t heard a lot from me lately is that I have been spending a lot of time on the golf course. I am a hopeless golf junkie…. and I’m only an average golfer. Hey, when you are cooped up here in Vermont for half the year we’ve got to have some sort of outlet, and mine is golf. I totally disappear for most of the summer. I’m either getting a lesson, on the practice range or on the local Dartmouth course. My crowning season-ending golf experience for the past 10 years has been the privilege of playing The National (National Golf Links of America) course in Southampton. This is one of the top 10 courses in America and VERY private… and very beautiful… I mean, what a magnificent course… WOW! Here I am below, second from left. The windmill in the background is one of the most famous golf landmarks in the world. Yes, I broke 100. In fact, last year I shot an 87 in the wind and rain, one of my all-time best rounds.
