The Chief Tormentor

The Deliciously Devilish Blog of Puzzling News From Staveland

Over the Edge

One of the things we are most famous for are our spectacular edge treatments. For instance take a look at “Twilight in the Park” and those yellow cabs at the bottom. 2611twilight_in_park

What’s Wrong With This Picture?

OK, so what is wrong with this picture… besides my golf posture… geez, I’m leaning over too much, I think? So, have you figured it out? #1. 2611golfingThis photo was taken today
next to our Staveland building. It was 63 degrees…in Vermont… in November! Weird weather. #2. I’m not on the local golf course (which is still open)….talk about dedication. More later.

More on Pitcher Inn Party

The Pitcher Inn Puzzle Party was a big success.  Can you see me there  being the Chief Tormentor going around the room teasing everyone? 2610pitcherinn_puzzlersThe inn was full of willing puzzlers, 9 rooms and 2 suites. And the weather was perfect on Saturday. Totally pouring rain… I mean buckets. So everyone was trapped inside puzzling. 2610prizes

Paula and Jennifer had driven up on Friday afternoon (we are 1.5 hours away) and they set everything up. Lots and lots of puzzles2610puzzle_room. I arrived Saturday morning in the rain and quickly joined everyone. I actually sat down and worked on a number of Traditional puzzles and had a blast. I don’t get a chance to do this type of puzzling very often so I got a taste of my own medicine as I wrestled with split corners, whammy edges and color-line cutting.. argh! It was fun.

Paula was the ring-master organizing everything and everyone. She played some nifty games and gave away lots of prize.

PS: Lucky You!! Just for reading my blog I’m going to let you take an additional 10% off any order IF you place your order by Monday, November 14.  HAPPY PUZZLING!
